A call for Prayer

As the life of the Wentz family gets fuller with kids growing older and more involved in activities, we remain
focused on our calling as missionaries. For years, Brad and I have worked full time jobs that have paid the
bills and supported our family, while our hearts have been in Honduras. The grind to raise funds, support our
programs, check in with our Honduran family hasn't stopped- but life has become busier. Prices have gone up
everywhere. Our programs have grown. We are seeing more students want the support of the Academy after
school for tutoring, internet access, and a safe place to be supported. We are seeing more of a need to support
families on our bi-weekly food bank program--- let's be honest--- the whole colony we serve could be on the
food bank program. We are supporting more students in their dreams of going to college, becoming adults and
trying to have professional jobs. The need is greater than ever.
Over the years God has always provided and sustained us. It has been mind blowing year after year how
somehow financially we pull it off. We have a staff of 4 to pay a living stipend to each month. We have a
building to pay for monthly and maintain. Through it all- God has been faithful. We can recount story after story
of us having a small idea/dream and God dreaming WAY bigger than us. It is as if He plants a small seed in our
minds and then says--- trust me, follow me, ABIDE in me--- and then He SHOWS up.
15 years of this path and we are still going.
Today it is heavy on my heart to ask for prayer. While the DBH Academy and our Food Bank are our main
programs--- sharing the Gospel and the love of Jesus is our core. It will always be a struggle to raise funds,
keep everyone happy, understand both cultures working together, etc--- but Biblical Truth does not change.
Jesus is the WAY, the Truth, and the Life---- no one comes to the Father but by Him. (John 14:6)
I am asking you to join us in prayer that the saving message of Jesus Christ can be glorified in every ounce
of what we do for Dream Big Honduras. That it ALWAYS leads back to Him. That it helps transform lives to
have hope, have the assurance of Salvation, and DREAM BIG. I don't say this just for those we serve-- I mean
those on our staff, our board, our donors, those that follow us on our social media. Our desire is that God
continues to use Dream Big Honduras to shine what HE is doing and has done for us. Our prayer is that
others can know Him better through the work we do and that they can have LIFE and live ABUNDANTLY.
Can you join us in prayer?
